The Seduction of the Goat

Some things I can’t explain. Like what possessed me to paint this image, The Seduction of the Goat, one night about 4 years ago. It just happened.

Yesterday was the Chinese New Year. Here we are in the year of the goat, according to the Chinese zodiac, so I’ve pulled this curious piece out to muse over.

Here’s an informative little article by NPR about why goat, sheep or ram may be the English translation for this year’s animal.

The Examiner.com says the overall theme for the year of the wood goat/ram/sheep is creativity and diligence resulting in prosperity.

May you have a diligently creative day.

If you’d like to see more art, it’s right this way.
